Join the cast and crew of the HBO series TREME as we host a fun-filled night of games and prizes at our celebrity game show, "Are
You Smarter Than An 8th Grader?," a fundraiser to benefit
Pontchartrain Park Community Development Corporation. Take the
challenge and play along as actors from TREME are teamed up with 8th
grade students from Mary D. Coghill Elementary to answer questions from
5th, 6th, 7th, and 8th grade textbooks.
The event will take place Saturday January 8th, at the Gymnasium of Southern University at New Orleans, 6400 Press Dr. VIP reception begins at 5:30pm and includes complimentary beer, wine, and hors d’oeuvres, plus a personalized
tour of the Pontchartrain Park model home given by Wendell Pierce.
Doors for General Admission open at 6:30pm, and game show to start at
7:00pm.
The game show will be hosted by Wendell Pierce with other
celebrity participants including Clarke Peters, Steve Zahn, Michiel
Huisman, David Morse, Jon Seda, and many others from the cast of TREME.
All proceeds from the evening will benefit Pontchartrain Park Community
Development Corporation, a
501 c 3 committed to rebuilding the historic neighborhood of
Pontchartrain Park following the devastation of Hurricane Katrina.
